The fantastic Open Book Coffeehouse!
Posted: March 22, 2010
We sure picked the best weekend to venture up to Canton, MA to play at the Open Book Coffeehouse...and it sure lived up to it's name in our minds :) The beautiful room was filled with warm and receptive people and the venue really was a model for a volunteer run music venue. Great sound system, lighting, and the Master of Ceremonies, Emily, did a wonderful job. We were so glad that she found us and invited us to play and hope we get to return one day. Coming up in April, we'll play in Phoenicia, NY for a benefit for Haiti. Details to come! Happy Spring!
Spring!!
Posted: March 7, 2010
What a winter!! As I write this, the sun is shining and we're starting to see glimpses of the ground where the snow is melting. We were lucky that we didn't lose power during the recent massive storm that dumped 3 feet of snow on our home. But we are so ready to get out and play music!! We had two great shows last week. The first right in our hometown of Cold Spring, where we got such a warm reception at The Music Room. Thanks to everyone who came out! Then, we were at the Lyrics Coffeehouse in Redding where we played with our friend, Dan Bonis. On March 20th, we'll head to Canton, Massachussets to play at, get this, the Open Book Coffeehouse! Happy Spring and we hope to see you out and about too!

Thank you so much to Steve and Terri Massardo for being such amazing hosts. This was a really well run evening, with two rounds of four acts; the sound system was great, the musicians we met and played with were fantastic and the crowd was warm and attentive... We can't wait to get invited back!!! If you are near the Saugerties area, check out: www.johnstreetjam.net
